Important Update concerning Mauritius Restaurant Awards 2021 and Hungrynation Food Festival

Following the recent advice received by the Ministry of Health as regards Covid-19 cases and in an effort to put our attendees’ safety first, the Hungrynation team has decided to prepare two options to provide clarity for all our attendees, participants, and sponsors.

Firstly, the original date of the 27th of March 2021, for The Hungrynation Food Festival and the Mauritius Restaurant Awards, is still currently live unless we receive communication nearer the time that the best option will be to postpone.

The second option, which involves the new postponed date, has already been penciled for Saturday, the 29th of May 2021. Hence, if it becomes necessary to postpone the original date. The new date of the 29th of May 2021 is scheduled to come into effect immediately for both Hungrynation Food Festival and the Mauritius Restaurant Awards.

Voting:
– If the new date of the 29th of May 2021 comes into effect, then voting for the Mauritius Restaurant Awards will be extended until the 20th of May 2021.

What happens if we have already purchased tickets?
As per our t&c policy, all tickets will be valid for the festival on the original date of the 27th of March 2021. Additionally, your tickets will also be valid automatically for the new date of the 29th of May 2021 if this date becomes the new postponed date.

I am a sponsor or partner; will my package be still valid if there is a postponement in date?
Yes, as per our terms and conditions. Our event is not canceled. The original date is live and there is a second option just in case the original date is postponed.  All our sponsors and participants will have the same opportunity on the new date. Your package will simply be transferred to the new date, and we will fulfill all obligations as promised.

Will we be kept updated on all the changes?
Yes, our official facebook.com/hungrynation.mu or the official Mauritius Restaurant Awards website – www.mauritiusrestaurantawards.com website will be kept updated weekly with information leading up to the festival. Additionally, we shall communicate with you fortnightly as we receive news leading up to the festival and any updates that we deem necessary in the lead-up to the event.
